What else should I say? For the buttons I used polymer clay (fimo) for the stability.

I always use either a knitting needle or a sharped pencil to get smooth button holes. 

I just press it in on the front. The hole won't go through perfectly, I also carve the hole from the other side after baking with a sharp knife. 

Okay... this are no buttons... but maybe small decorations for cards or so?

Out of the molds...

At least the earrings I made with my new molds :) 

Some of them are made with polymer clay (fimo) and some like the molds with airdrying clay. 

I either used black polymer clay or painted them with black acrylic colour. 

Just to add the metallic effects also with acrylic paint. 

As I said... no sun! Therefore I had to use artifical light to get som pictures :(

I hope you get at least a little impression how they can shine in the light!

I love the colours... I used water acrylic paints to create the light and dark effects.

I am just not sure whether I should leave them as they are... or add a additional layer of laquer for protection. Mh... Any suggestions? 

And yes, I'll mount / sew them all on little cards ^^

I glued the quote stamp on an old wooden stamp handle (without the original rubber).

While carving I am mostly using just two blades: One straight with a sharp point and a v-shape lino cutter. If there are rules I am following it would be mostly this three:

• always cut diagonal to get a broad base for the motif (1 / 2)
• outline the motive first (v-shaped blade) (3)
• always cut inner corners from the inside out (4)

This is the v-shaped blade of my lino cutter. Mostly I am using it to carve the outlines of my drawing.

I am just using the point of my paper knife or scallpel to cut in the corner. 

Mold for polymer clay...

If you already follow my blog you know that I like to create stuff which can be used to give polymer clay a shape. I used for this approach polymer clay itself which I stamped with stamps or just with weird things (to create structures ^^) or I pressed plants into it.

The problem was polymer clay sometimes stick in polymer clay molds. Laquer the molds didn't help. To freeze them helped a little bit... I got the hint that maybe oil or baby powder may help. This is both true! Helps a lot! But also let my chaotic enviroment get even more entropic! ^^

I had a lot of airdrying clay which was really cheap (not the best quality). I used it for testing shapes and structures...

In the leftover I pressed some plant... and used it some days after that as a mold for polymer clay. And guess what: The polymer clay didn't stick! Ha...! Love it!

Therefore I made a lot more molds! You never can have enough molds! ^^

PS: I use classic and soft fimo (polymer clay). If the soft fimo is... too soft, just cool it down a little bit. :)

More small stamps... one never comes alone!

Just some leftovers I played with. The little bug is around 1 cm long... so really my small leftovers ^^

There are some ideas in my mind which I want to realize for some prints / cards. On one hand I didn't found the time until now to realize them and on the other I was still missing some material... 

The reason for the ideas is simple: Centi send me one of her beautiful flower ornament cards... and I want to send her a card in return. You know... that is already some time ago but when something is in my head (with its teeths bitten deep into my neurons) there is no way for me around is.

@centi: I didn't forget your card, I am still trying to figure out how to realize my idea. Hope you don't mind?! *imagine big puppy eyes*

Inspirations: Little foxes (university medical center, Leipzig)

...or: Cuteness overload! At least for me... :)

Some wild foxes found there home at the area of the medical center of the university of leipzig last year. Next are also a lot of faculties and also the botanical garden and a park located. So there is much space, some green and at the evenings or weekends it is very quiet.

This year they had their first offspring! I can watch them for hours.... and humans are just moving objects to them ^^

Don't worry: The district ranger (didn't know there are district rangers for all areas in the city!) controlled them. They are healthy, nothing to worry for humans. Even more, because of this, it is not allowed to relocate them ^^
