It is watching you!

I combined my polymer clay (fimo) eyeballs with some structured stuff also made out of fimo and put it all again on a little glas.

Now it is watching you!

This time the basic colour of the polymer clay I used was a dark brown. I went over it with black acrylic colour. Before the paint could set I went over the surface with a wet sponge to remove most of the colour.

For the highlights / metallic effect I used at first copper and then bronze metallic acrylic paint (the ones from Reeves, really good quality!). Of course followed by a lot of layers from lacquer / shiny gloss. Especially the eyeball got some more layers! ^^

Inspirations: Everything will be okay! (Leipzig)

Next to a smile I already showed you some time ago I found this sad little one... and just then someone wrote under the sad one: "Alles wird gut!" Which means "Everything will be okay!" in german. Made me smile :)

Insoirations: Hearts and ghosts (Leipzig)

Just something I saw in the city center in leipzig! I think the white inside the heart should be light reflections but the friend who was with me in the city said: Oh, with a ghost! I saw it too in that moment ^^

All the things around you! (Formentera)

I was back again at formentera (spain) in july after I defended my thesis. For the first week Rumpel (my partner) came with me and for the second week a friend just spontaneously came! She is also creating stuff (her blog is "für große Mädchen") and she loves (like me!) to look around for stuff to find ^^

Like these little snail shells / houses! They are empty and sun dried and bleached! Especially the lighter one! Just pure fragile beauty!

The same species but just longer lying around in the sun...

Have a look at a lot of my findings! I just had them lying in the front of the house...

...all the beautiful little tile pieces...!

...sea shells and stones and other things...

...plants and stones...

...all the wood with the unbelieving great structures!

...nearly the whole tile!

...and more details...

...and a tiny visitor!

...the skin of a cicada...

...little bones, clean from the ants and bleached from the sun!

...egg shells, old bike lamps, stones, shells, bones, you see the same beauty as I do?

Inspirations: Cats (Formentera, spain)

There is nothing like a cat sleeping! It just is a feeling, a moment I try to catch... juts be calm, just relax!

I also tried to capture this red beauty but it walked away on me...! ^^

Play with structures and polymer clay!

I covered the lid of a little glas jar with polymer clay (fimo) and then I started adding some structures with stamps and molds...

In the middle I out some stones which were part of a hair piece I had and which broke. I just couldn't part with them because they were to sparkly and beautiful ^^

After I baked the clay I used different shades of blue of water acrylic colours as well as normal black acrylic colour to get some patina effect. On top I brushed a little bit of silver acrylic paint with my finger tips to get some highlights.

And a final layer of lacquer (or shiny gloss)! Really tine glas... I am keeping now little baked fimo parts which I want to use for earrings inside...

Smile!

Don't give me a pen late in the night! ^^

Sea gulls - earrings

This little plastic sea gulls I found in the crafting store in grimma where we went some time ago. They were intended to be for decorations but in a way earrings are also just for decoration, nai? ^^ I used my dremel to drill little holes inside and just combined them with some wire and beads.

I have to admit that they are not what I would wear, but I still adore them! And hopefully they will go to someone who will wear them :)

Inspirations: Numbers (Leipzig)

You know me, I love numbers! I started a little collection of number images which grows slowly but steadily! Thought it should grow a little bit faster so I would have enough different images to use for advent calendars! :)

...with a higher contrast!
