Flowery pincushion...

Seems that I can't get enough of felt. Mh... it's true I think ^^ I would love to work with felt made out of wool (or at least viscose) but all I get in the stores around here is the acrilyc one. Going any further is not really easy or comfortable at the moment because there is too much snow and ice outside. Especially the ice is horrible, you have to be careful with every step you do! Last week we had something called icerain here. It rained during really low temperatures so the water turned imediatly into ice. The last time this happened here was in 1988 (not that I was already living in this town, moved to east germany years after the reunion). They had to stop every tram. The ice was disconnecting the energy or sometimes the power cables broke. Brrrr... We don't need to speak of going by bus or car because the trams are the most durable transportation medium in winter... and on an icy surface!

Yes, I love the summer. This year the summer was too short and the beginning cold startet way to early and too hard...!

But enough of the weather...

I got my stencil for the flower from a picture I found at graphics fairy (you find the coolest graphics there!). The design was so beautiful! I used this detail for my flower.

Just cut it out...

...and made little flower petals...

...stiched them together...

...and stuffed it!

There we go, so easy, so fast...!

  1. Love the flower, it's very complex and ornamental. Careful on the ice!!!

  2. Your flower looks nice. I am very interested in felting. I just bought a wool sweater at a thrift store and put it in a hot water washing machine and then in the dryer. I can't wait to try to make some things but that will have to wait until after Christmas.
